Singer Boy George was charged Tuesday with falsely imprisoning a 28-year-old man after an alleged incident in London earlier this year.
Boy George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, has been ordered to appear in court Nov. 22.
The former Culture Club frontman's spokesman did not return calls for comment. British newspaper The Sun reported in April that Auden Karlse, of Norway, claimed he was chained and threatened at Boy George's apartment in London, where he had gone as a photo model.
